Circa Privacy Policy
Circa is designed around a simple rule: your sensitive wellbeing data should remain yours.
Who we are
Circa is published by Studio JB. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to jbdelcros@gmail.com.
Apple Health
With your permission, Circa reads sleep analysis and resting heart rate from Apple Health to calculate sleep duration, bedtime consistency, and recovery trends. This information is processed locally on your device. It is not uploaded to Studio JB, Mixpanel, Amazon, or advertising platforms.
Screen Time
If you enable app blocking, Apple’s Family Controls framework gives Circa opaque selections for apps, categories, and websites. Apple does not reveal the identity of selected apps to Studio JB. The selection remains in the app’s private shared container so its Screen Time extension can apply your schedule.
Information stored on your device
Your routine, wake and sleep times, reminder preferences, onboarding choices, and settings are stored locally with Apple frameworks. Removing Circa normally removes this local information, subject to Apple’s device backup behavior.
Analytics
Circa records an event with Mixpanel when you open a product in Discover. It contains the product identifier, product name, category, destination domain, an installation analytics identifier, and standard technical properties such as app version, device type, operating system, and locale. Automatic event collection is disabled. Circa never sends names, email addresses, Apple Health values, Screen Time selections, notification content, or purchase information to Mixpanel.
Product links
Discover may open third-party product pages in an in-app Safari view. Those websites are governed by their own privacy practices. Circa does not receive your account, cart, payment, or purchase information. Eligible links may generate a commission for Studio JB at no additional cost to you.
Tracking and advertising
Circa does not use Apple Health data for advertising, does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and does not sell personal data.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you change it or remove the app. Analytics information is retained only as needed for product analysis and security. You can request deletion of associated analytics information by emailing Studio JB and including your Mixpanel distinct identifier when available.
Children and your choices
Circa is not directed to children under 13. You can deny or revoke Apple Health, Screen Time, and notification permissions through iOS Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data.
Changes
Studio JB may update this policy as Circa changes. The effective date will be revised whenever the policy is updated.
