PreQx Privacy Policy

PreQx is designed for children and families with a simple privacy rule: personal information stays on the device.

Who we are

PreQx is published by Studio JB. Privacy questions can be sent to jbdelcros@gmail.com.

Information stored on the device

The selected child name or nickname, optional planned procedure date, companion, preparation and checklist progress, courage-star count, app preferences, optional hospital phone number, and optional family notes are stored only in local app storage on the device. This information is used solely to personalize the app and help the family track its own preparation. Studio JB does not receive it, and it is not sent to any server or third party.

Microphone

With permission, PreQx uses microphone input in breathing games to detect a live blowing sound. The app does not record, save, upload, or transmit audio. Microphone access can be denied or revoked in iOS Settings.

Purchases

PreQx offers one optional, non-consumable In-App Purchase that unlocks three interactive stories. Apple processes the purchase and payment information. PreQx uses StoreKit only to display the local price, complete the purchase, and restore access. Studio JB does not receive payment-card details.

Data collection, analytics, advertising, and sharing

PreQx does not require an account and does not include third-party analytics, third-party advertising, advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or social-network SDKs. PreQx does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, health data, or diagnostic telemetry. Studio JB does not receive, sell, disclose, or share user or device data with third parties.

Children and family use

PreQx is intended to be used with a parent, guardian, or care professional. The app does not knowingly collect or transmit personal information from children. Activities related to anaesthesia should be supervised by an adult and used only with the medical team's permission.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains on the device until it is changed in the app or the app is removed, subject to Apple's device backup behaviour. Apple purchase records are governed by Apple's own retention obligations.

Changes

This policy may be updated as PreQx evolves. The effective date will be revised whenever the policy changes.
